Hearts and flowers xx

Jemelia was looking for a cake for her mum for her birthday. She decided on a heart- shaped cake with flowers and a drape. Usually I would make the flowers in marzipan as it holds it shape better. However, her mum didn't like marzipan so I made the flowers out of sugar paste instead.

Zombies!!!!!

Paul and his wife celebrated their 1st Wedding Anniversary this Halloween. For their Wedding Cake they had a 'Nightmare Before Christmas' theme. For this special anniversary they decided on a zombies cake to keep with the Halloween theme. Chocolate is their favourite so we did a chocolate sponge with chocolate-flavoured sugar paste - Delicious!!!!

Party Girl

Lyndsay called me asking for a birthday cake to go along with her 30th Birthday partying weekend... we decided a drunken-party girl sitting on the edge of the road with her bag contents spilling out. She loves pink so we added pink in as much detail as we could. Happy 30th Lyndsay!!

A day at the farm

Isabella turned 2 and had her party at SmithHills farm. We went along with our little girls Holly and Evie - a great day was had by all.

Chocolate and Music

I was asked to create two chocolate cakes for an 18th and a 21st. Both boys loved music - one the drums and the other the guitar!

Dan came to me looking for a cake for his pregnant girlfriend. As she was pregnant she couldn't have anything with nuts, didn't like chocolate but is a real 'girly girl' according to Dan. This is what we came up with:
